The Lumberyard is opening in Summer 2008 and pays homage to the original Laguna Lumber Company,
which opened in 1913. The Lumberyard Restaurant is located on the corner of Forest and Forest
in the building that originally housed the lumberyard. Local Laguna residents Cary and Suzanne

a local artist each year whose art the owners feel represents the soul and the peace of Laguna
Beach.

Nirvana Grille:
"The All New Nirvana Grille"
This California bistro recently opened March 15 and is operated
by a husband-and-wife team, Luis and Lindsay Rosales. Their fare
consists of American, French, and Asian influences. Nirvana, meaning
harmony, stability, and peace, goes perfectly with their interior décor.
The Grille is filled with lovely floral decorations, soft lighting, and
romantic candlelight. The executive chef Lindsay Rosales says,
“It’s a professional yet comfortable environment.”
Lindsay was named one of the “Top Chefs in Orange County Under
40” by OC Metro. She works closely with area growers and purveyors
to ensure organic produce, meat, wild fish, and free-range chicken are
of the highest quality. Lindsay was born and raised in Laguna Beach by a
very health-conscious family and a vegetarian mother. She wanted to bring
both this health factor and the feeling of warmth from her childhood
household into Nirvana. Rosales says, “The dining room is like a
home. It’s simple, but you feel comfortable. It’s able to
bring in warmth that contemporary restaurants don’t have.”
